While it draws inspiration from the original vision, Fractured: Conquest is a ground-up rebuild with new combat systems, a faction-driven PvP focus, and a completely redesigned world. It is not a continuation or relaunch of Fractured Online.

Fractured: Conquest is developed by Happy Cauldron Games, an independent studio founded by Duncan Davis. Duncan serves as Game Director, drawing on years of experience working with dozens of game studios and the world's largest publishers on strategy, architecture, and industry innovation. The studio acquired the Fractured IP in 2025 and has been building Fractured: Conquest as a new entry in the franchise.

I backed Fractured Online on Kickstarter or bought a pack. What happens to my purchase?

All previous Fractured Online backers and purchasers will receive a free copy of Fractured: Conquest. In addition, backers will receive the cosmetics and pets from their original pledge tier as they are recreated for Conquest, or equivalent value in premium currency. Any remaining VIP time or permanent VIP status will be converted into an allotment of equivalent premium currency. Happy Cauldron Games is committed to honoring the support of the original community.

What are the three factions?

The three playable factions are: the Wardens of Babilis, demon hunters from the frozen north who wield ice, fire, and binding magic; the Order of Arcanium, a technocratic fellowship of mages and scholars from the desert City of Glass who master weather magic and aethertech; and the Thorn, knights and sorcerers from enchanted woodlands who serve the fey-touched Gladelords and wield nature magic bound by chivalric oaths.

What combat archetypes are available?

Three archetypes have been revealed: the Vanguard (tank), who pushes into combat and absorbs damage using an Aethershield called a Bastion; the Spellweaver (ranged DPS), who weaves aether into devastating spells and orbiting power orbs; and the Anointer (healer), a blood mage who sacrifices vitality to heal allies using aetherized blood. Additional archetypes will be revealed in the future.

Fractured: Conquest features 8 weapon types across three categories. Melee weapons include the Greatsword, Spear, Sword & Shield, Mace & Shield, and Warhammer. Ranged weapons include the Longbow and Shortbow. Magic weapons include the Slingstave. Each weapon has unique abilities and a distinct combat style.

How does combat work?

Fractured: Conquest features action combat inspired by MOBA-style gameplay in a top-down isometric perspective. Players aim abilities manually, dodge and jump over projectiles, and coordinate with allies to form shield walls and execute group tactics. Every weapon has two unique abilities with distinct mechanics, and archetypes provide additional class-specific skills. Combat rewards positioning, timing, and teamwork over gear or level advantages.

Is Fractured: Conquest PvP or PvE?

Fractured: Conquest is a PvX game with a strong PvP focus. The core experience revolves around faction warfare and territorial control - players fight for strategic objectives including fortresses, mines, and frontier positions. PvE content includes hunting creatures, gathering resources, and taking on boss creatures during events that drop unique loot. The entire in-game economy is player-driven: all equipment, consumables, and supplies are crafted by players. Events and world bosses provide rare materials and unique drops that feed back into the crafting economy. Both PvP and PvE contribute to the larger faction conflict.
