Wardens of Babilis

The gods entrusted us with the fate of the world.

Hailing from their cathedral city in the frozen north, the clerics and demon hunters known as the Wardens of Babilis wield their great aetherworks as a bastion against demonic incursions. They are descended from the tribes who witnessed the defeat of the fallen goddess Babilis, and generations as sentinels over her prison have given them mastery over fire, ice, and the secrets of immortal-binding. They know that the fracture has weakened the goddess' chains; they must capture its power and restore her prison, lest they fail their ancestral oaths and Babilis is unleashed upon the world once more.

From a desert oasis known as the City of Glass, the Arcane Collegiate produces the greatest mages and scholars the world has ever seen, a technocratic fellowship known as The Order of Arcanium. Dedicated to bringing the light of knowledge to a dark and superstitious world, their study of the aether has unlocked the secrets of weather magic while advancing their magineering technology far above all others. No other faction possesses the expertise to be entrusted with harnessing the fracture; should they succeed, they will usher in a new golden age without scarcity or want, perhaps even unlocking the very secrets of the cosmos.

The Thorn

Between nature's whims and unyielding virtue, one finds truth.

Embraced by enchanted woodlands, the kingdoms within the Hearthwood Protectorate live in reverent accord with the fey-touched wilds, ruled by the mysterious and fickle Gladelords. In feudal servitude of the forest and its denizens, they dedicate their aetherworks to the balance of nature. But with the fracture threatening that balance, the Verdant Courts have marshaled a great "Thorn:" an army of knights, sorcerers, and honored retainers pledged to seize the fracture for their sylvan lords. Bound by promises and enigmatic codes, knights of The Thorn wield strange and terrifying powers of nature... so long as they hold to their oaths.

The Vanguard

Tank

Forge ahead into the thick of the fighting and stand your ground as an immovable force. Vanguards push into combat ahead of the pack, establishing footholds for their allies. Often considered the most foolhardy fighters, they endure the brunt of every attack, protected by an Aethershield device called a Bastion that generates a protective barrier.

The Spellweaver

Ranged DPS

Masters of the old arcane traditions, Spellweavers draw threads of aether from the air and weave them into devastating spells without the aid of machinery. With every spell they cast, they set a little aether aside, weaving leftover energy into glowing orbs of condensed power that orbit them protectively. Living catapults who obliterate their enemies from afar, they keep the ancient art of magic alive in an age racing towards progress.

The Anointer

Healer

Blood mages devoted to using their aether-imbued blood to heal the wounded. Anointers prepare vials of aetherized blood and theriac, transforming them into a magical panacea that serves as the conduit for their restorative power. Angels of the battlefield, they sacrifice their own vitality to mend the broken and keep their allies fighting when all seems lost.

Greatsword - a two-handed melee weapon in Fractured: Conquest

Greatsword

Melee

A devastating two-handed blade built for momentum. Greatsword wielders build power through sustained combat, unleashing sweeping spins and sundering vertical strikes that can hinder and silence entire groups of enemies.

Abilities

  • Blade Spin

    Spin with your blade, slashing nearby enemies. You are untouchable and can move while spinning. Momentum Boost: Continue spinning for as long as you have momentum.

  • Sundering Smash

    Bring your blade down in a vertical slash that hinders and silences all foes beneath the blow. Momentum Boost: Critically strike and increase debuff durations.

Longbow - a long-range ranged weapon in Fractured: Conquest

Longbow

Ranged

The weapon of choice for those who prefer to dominate from a distance. The longbow delivers devastating single-target damage and can pin enemies down with suppressive volleys.

Abilities

  • Arrow Rain

    Release 4 arrows following an arched trajectory aimed towards a location of your choice. Arrows act as piercing projectiles, hitting all enemies they collide with, and stop once they reach the terrain. Has a minimum range.

  • Piercing Shot

    Charge and release a powerful arrow that pierces all enemies in its path. Deals increased penetration damage that cuts through heavy armor. All enemies hit are staggered.

Shortbow - a fast ranged weapon for skirmishing in Fractured: Conquest

Shortbow

Ranged

A fast, agile ranged weapon built for mid-range skirmishing. The shortbow rewards aggressive positioning with rapid volleys and devastating precision shots that punish exposed targets.

Abilities

  • Volley

    Fire a cone of 6 arrows in a direction of your choosing. Arrows act as piercing projectiles, hitting and crippling all enemies they collide with.

  • Headshot

    Charge and release a devastating single-target shot at long range. A precision finisher that deals massive damage to vulnerable enemies.

Slingstave - a magic staff weapon in Fractured: Conquest

Slingstave

Magic

A staff enchanted to fire magical projectiles, most strongly associated with the spellweaver tradition. Spellweavers use the tip of the staff as a spindle or distaff when weaving their spells, channeling Aether into piercing darts and devastating explosive blasts.

Abilities

  • Aether Dart

    Fling a dart of magical energy that pierces and staggers your target. Spellweaving Boost: Release a fan of magical darts, critically striking multiple foes.

  • Arcane Blast

    Summon and launch a slow-moving, arcing projectile that explodes upon impact, damaging friend and foe alike within the blast zone. Spellweaving Boost: Upgrade the blast to inflict critical damage.

Spear - a versatile melee polearm in Fractured: Conquest

Spear

Melee

A versatile polearm that rewards aggressive engagement. The spear combines rapid thrusting attacks with powerful charges, letting wielders control the pace of battle by closing distance and shredding through enemy lines.

Abilities

  • Piercing Barrage

    Channel a rapid flurry of thrusts in a cone in front of you, hitting all enemies in range. The barrage lasts for a short duration, striking multiple times per second.

  • Resolute Charge

    Charge towards a targeted enemy, dealing heavy damage on impact to all foes in the area. A gap-closer that punishes enemies who try to keep their distance.

Warhammer

  • Hammer Dive
